I think this set is made in china and not taiwan as mention as the set i bought states ‘made in china’ behind

It states “made in china” yes, as the casing, box cover and accessories are from China / Taiwan no doubt. But the chipset is by Sigma with programming by SyaBas. In another words, externally its made in China, but internal, by USA. To top things off, only SyaBas programming allows users to create their own apps, when compared to any other media found in the market.

May I know how often does Mr Cloud update their Movies & Dramas? I been doing the updates daily (it runs the updates) but I still get the same episodes for the same Korea drama which I drop out from Asiabox 2 weeks ago. Even the “Britain’s Got Talent S(6)” remain as 4 episodes for the past 2 weeks.

Hi Freeman,
Mr Cloud update their movies & dramas daily. You can also select settings and choose update on all 3 options. Altertively, there are 2 applications to search for the movies.
1) Movie search
2) Movie online
Both runs on different server, therefore, if you cant find on (1), try finding it on (2). If both unsuccessful, you’ll have to wait awhile. Example was Naruto Blood Prison. It was aired in Taiwan cinemas last November, however, only last week, it could be found online. Meaning, some titles might take sometime before being uploaded to Mr Cloud’s server. Hope this helps.

You can get anyone to bring it down along with the receipt(important), and we’ll take a look at the set. For the password, it should be written on your receipt (11-digit serial code).

I bought my asiabox sometime in September 2011… May I know if I can exchange for this Mr Cloud? As I don’t wish to pay for the subscription….

The latest dramas and movies of 2012 are already in asialive VOD. Please bear in mind that, not ALL 2012 contents are available in AsiaBox. They will be added as PPTV manage to get the licence to air them. You can still opt to change to Mr Cloud/DreamBox. Hi, The new movie “Wrath of The Titans” when show up actually is “Clash of The Titans” which is the previous Part 1 movie. Just want to know when is “Wrath of The Titans” start showing?
Hi Phang, good question. If its not showing the correct one, that means the server may have uploaded the wrong one. You can search the correct one under Movie Search. Hope this helps.

You’ll need to connect a 4gb(minimum) thumbdrive to Mr Cloud. If you have already done it, try changing to another thumbdrive.
Hi. I couldn’t get any sound after installing Mr Cloud and the HDMI cable. Everything is ok, except no sound. I’ve checked the TV volume and remote control volume.

Thank you for purchasing Mr Cloud from us. First of all, did our salesperson do a testing on your set prior to sales? Also, you can try changing to another HDMI cable and see if it works. Lastly, if possible, could you try testing on another TV set? Hope the above will help solve your issues.

I have bought my Mr. Cloud this year.
It was working fine when I bought it,but when I tried to on it this week, the screen hang at showing the logo “Mr. Cloud”.
Just wanted to confirm if the box really needs repair (still under warranty),.don’t wish to make a wasted trip down if I can resolve it via verbal advice.

Hi Chloe,
Apologize for the late reply. There’s a reset button at the back of Mr Cloud. Press on to it for reset when it gets stuck on the Mr Cloud Logo. If still after afew tries, this does not improve the situation, do bring down your player and let our friendly staff assist you on it. As long as there’s warranty (1year), your set is covered. Hope this helps.

You might want to try using LAN connections which will improve greatly the buffering speed. If not, you can try with HomePlug or Powerline Adapter which is readily available in most IT shops. Alternatively, you can call our office @ 63365988 for further assistance.
I’m planning to buy a Video Real Time Player but I find the player a bit high! Are there any more options available? I really don’t want to compromise on the quality.

I bought Mr Cloud in 2011 during the last IT show for 2011. Very bad experience. I had to return 4 times because the firmware was corrupted. Right now my firmware is corrupted again. I want to find out whether I can get the firmware and fix the problem myself.

That is not normal. Can you take a snapshot of the screen where it shows firmware corrupted? I’ll get the factory to email the firmware to you, and at the meantime, figure out what’s wrong with your player.

I encountered an issue wit Mr Cloud during boot up.
The screen will hang with Mr Cloud logo with blue screen.
Need to find out what is this problem and woe to solve it.
