    I just purchased the minix x5 yesterday. There is an update for 20130419, should i update to it? Sometimes the programme is not opening and after that hangs. I need to restart several times to get it running again. Any solution to this?

      Hi Kenneth,

      If the program hangs, restarting it alone doesn’t help. You’ll need to close the program ( 3rd icon from the bottom left, looks like 2 boxes “stacking” together ) first, then open the program it again. Also, when updating the apps, do make sure BOTH cloud.iptv & iptv.player is of the same version (1.4.1 or 1.4.3), either one works fine. Or you can download 1.4.1 here.

      Asiabox runs on Linux, Cloud.iptv runs on Android, therefore, you can’t use it on Asiabox. However, you can use Cloud.iptv on ANY android devices that you have (Samsung, HTC, media player….)

    I’ve been using X5 for 3 months but since 3 weeks ago the main screen (updates) for Cloud.IPTV does not show any titles and the channels are not available, neither is the history screen. I can only do searches and many titles when I click on them will result in ‘this file cannot be played’. I have cleared the storage and it doesn’t show any files. Any solution to this or do I have to bring the device to your shop to trouble-shoot?

      Apologize for the late reply. You can try re-installing the cloud.iptv & iptv.player. Do note that the 2 version need to be the same, (cloud.iptv 1.3.0 & iptv.player 1.4.0, or cloud.iptv 1.3.3 & iptv.player 1.4.3).       The buffer size of the cloud.iptv cant be changed is 2.4gb. There’s no need to increase the buffering size as you can self delete old movie datas. It’ll auto overwrite old datas too.

      Yes, there’s NBA channels under cloud.TV. You can download it via Google Store, and use the FREE trial version to test. For cloud.iptv, its only provides streaming of movies / series / variety shows / cartoons..

        Hi, I was not told of when I bought the X5 at the recent PC show. I checked Google Play and there is no such app.

        For the iptv, 2 suggestions:
        1. have feature for full screen for all movies
        2. at the search, add numbers so that it is easier for us to find a movie (if a search returns 500 movies and I want to go thru manually to choose; can happen on different days)
        3. after watching using search, the movie icon is added to the Update page, and cannot be deleted. Allow deletion

          Due to the hectic crowd and loud noises, our part-timers may have missed out some explanations on our apps. You can drop us an email and we’ll send you the cloudTV and cloud.iptv app.

          For iptv, not all movies have full screen, as the quality itself uploaded onto the server are standard size (top and bottom is black), if you extend it, the quality will be distorted. Under search, you can search via numbers such as Riddick 3, Transformer 3, 2012, and many more. But some search will reach huge results, this can’t be changed, as the program is made to search for ALL titles under “Transformer” for example.

      Hi Paul,

      Try bringing it closer to your modem / router, to improve on the wifi strength. Also, you can use your phone’s personal hotspot and set your android device to detect via wifi. This helps a lot too.

    My set of T6 for Cloud just went blank, it does not show any titles, pictures, just black screen and only search is workable. I have sent you email with my snapshot of receipt on 7Jun13 regarding my set keep prompting “launcher 4.0 is not responding” and requesting for new Apps link if there’s any but till now there’s no reply from you.

    I wanted to try to re-install but it seems like my backup icons has turned to a”?” mark, that I am afraid I won’t be be able to reinstall, right?

    But for now, would appreciate if you can solve my major problem. Thanks

      Im sorry to say that, cloud.iptv only runs on ANDROID verison. But for our HDplayer, you can run it on both windows and android to watch live tv channels all over the world.

    I am bringing my MINIX Neo X5 to your office for servicing this afternoon. The unit either doesn’t connect to server or data sync. Even my browser is not working now. I’ve tried both internet connection via wired and wireless. Even with wired internet connection, the unit keeps indicate no internet connection, really funny!

      It should be compatible without doubt. Do try using xDroid cleaner and clear the datas inside and try again. If the problem persist, you may have to uninstall, and reinstall back and try again. This may be caused by incomplete installation (happens a lot on android devices).

      What you’ve seen on the COMEX demo screen, are our specially design themes which you can download off the Google Playstore. All the apps that are shown are pre-installed into your Minix player, such as Cloud.TV, Iptv.player, Cloud.IPtv, KTV, and many more.

      P.S. There’s a APPs icon on the top right of the screen which looks like 2 squares ontop of another 2 square. Click it and all the apps will appear. To bring them to the main screen, just click and hold the icon you want.

    But at the expo all the show n live tv can be seen. When i came home n install the set the cloudtv came out with Connection Failed.
    Servers under maintenance.

    Hi after upgrading cloud iptv to 1.3.5 and player to 1.4.8 with the new “more” features. Everything I click on “more” the app will shut down automatically. Why is this so ? That’s one of the main features you introduce with the new version to search for similar files online right.
