Please take note that the following picture is a screenshot of the fake AsiaBox other companies are selling. Even after updating, the device will not be able to connect to Internet, apps market, or any programs that matter. All you will see is blank screen and nothing inside. So therefore, when you purchase an AsiaBox from anyone, including us Amconics, ASK TO TEST YOUR ASIABOX before you pay or leave the shop.
Steps to determine a genuine AsiaBox :
- Able to update to latest firmware (0923 version)
- Able to play titles from AsiaLive VOD
- Able to watch AsiaLive TV
- Able to download applications from the Apps Market

why already mid Dec and Asia VOD 2 still not up yet? Le’TV not many new US movies, is it meant to be like this? IMS too, no good US movies to watch. Why?
VOD2 is renamed under LeTV, which is a new application btw. There are not much movies / shows in this application, but more will be added in the coming future.
Can I connect my external hdd to asiabox
and watch movie? I tried using the front
and back usb but it only detect the internal
hdd which i install.

Hi Steven,
You can connect your external HDD to asiabox and watch movie. Please make sure that the HDD is plugged to an external power supply IF it requires one. Also, please make sure that USB could be detected by your computer and if possible, try a few different USB thumbdrives. If all things fail, do bring down your asiabox and your original receipt and we’ll take at look at your player. As long as it is within 1 year from date of purchase, the warranty still holds.
